Creativity

Small Talk:

For over 20 years, a craze for publishing papers has swept through Taiwan's academic community. Almost every university professor is eager to publish articles in international academic journals.

Why?

Because the education authorities use the number of papers published by professors as one of the key indicators for measuring the quality of a university.

As a result, some unscrupulous university teachers have begun to "get creative," fabricating a large number of research results by falsifying data or fabricating research findings. Such as "NTU head cowrote suspect paper" and "This scientific journal just had to retract 60 papers. How does that even happen?"et al.

But these are just the tip of the iceberg.
